Rodoanel (Beltway)

In the São Paulo State, there are 10 large highways with a joint traffic of 300,000 vehicles/day that, even if not directed to the São paulo Capital city, nevertheless they are forced to cross it, so causing terrific traffic jans. To unclog this situation the construction of a peripherical beltway (rodoanel) has been started.

It will connect 19 municipalities with an extension of 160 km, including stretches of twin tunnels with 220 m2 section each.

Novatecna is present with the most updated technologies for tunnel reinforcement of the excavation´s faces.

The west branch started in october 1998, and will be completed by mid 2001.
